Updated travel list: The seven nations you can now visit without being quarantined.
THE LATEST TRAVEL UPDATES have offered many Brits optimism for a last-minute summer vacation, with the green and amber travel lists being enlarged.
The beleaguered travel industry has received a much-needed boost, as Brits will be able to visit more countries without having to quarantine themselves from today. Holidaymakers in need of a foreign vacation will be able to travel to seven more nations on the green list. Here’s what you need to know about the most recent travel regulations.
Many nations have been moved to the UK’s green or amber travel lists following a review of the travel traffic light system on August 4.
These adjustments took effect at 4 a.m. this morning.
These measures have increased the number of places where sun-seeking Britons can travel without having to quarantine when they return.
Quarantine is not required for visitors travelling from countries on the green list, regardless of their vaccination status.
The following seven countries will be added to the green list as of today, according to Transport Secretary Grant Shapps:
Germany Austria Norway, Latvia Romania Slovakia Slovenia
Many travelers’ options have been increased by the government’s recent decision to waive quarantine restrictions for people returning from countries on the Amber List.
If you’ve been fully vaccinated, you won’t need to isolate when you return from an amber list place.
The amber list now includes the following countries:
After being temporarily transferred to the “amber plus list,” France has been re-added to the amber list.
Even fully vaccinated British citizens would be required to quarantine upon their return to the UK.
With the majority of individuals in the United Kingdom now fully vaccinated, many will be keeping a close eye on the amber list as well as the green list.
Following Mr Shapps’ statement last Wednesday, travel to nations on the Amber List has seen a rise in bookings.
Following the announcement of the government’s current study, Brittany Ferries reported that trip bookings between France and the United Kingdom had more than doubled.
Interest in trips to the United Arab Emirates has also increased, according to travel agencies.
However, the newest assessment did not come with all good news, as four destinations were added to the red list.
Arriving travelers from Georgia, Mexico, or the French overseas territories of La Reunion and Mayotte will now be required to stay in a quarantine hotel for ten days.
