Two-thirds of the population has yet to see iconic attractions in the United Kingdom.

According to study, the most iconic UK landmarks that adults have yet to see are Westminster Abbey, the Royal Albert Hall, and Wembley Stadium.

The British Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Tate Britain were all visited by less than two-thirds of the population, according to the research of 2,000 adults.

Despite the fact that the Giant’s Causeway, Belfast Castle, and the Metropolitan Arts Centre are all located in Northern Ireland, nine out of ten people have never visited them.

And, despite the fact that Wales features renowned attractions such as the National Pool, National Botanic Gardens, and Cardiff Castle, only about one in every five adults has visited the country.

Other well-known landmarks that are yet to be visited include Scotland’s Museum of Flights and Collective Gallery (93 percent and 93 percent, respectively), as well as the Loch Ness Monster (73 percent).

Greene King Inns found that two-thirds of those polled had never visited Stonehenge, and just one in five had ever seen Gateshead’s iconic Angel of the North statue.

A fifth of those polled believe they reside within five miles of a major cultural tourist attraction or landmark that they have yet to visit.

With many of the country’s favorite vacation spots closed this summer, the study revealed that nearly half of individuals will make an extra effort to see what the UK has to offer.

The events of the last 16 months have inspired 65 percent of the population to travel to locations they love or that make them happy, and a third of the population has a UK-based staycation planned for 2021.

“There is so much to see and do here on our doorsteps, and with the present travel restrictions, there has never been a better opportunity to get out exploring,” said Liane Hunt of Greene King Inns. Many people agree that there is a lot going on in the UK and that there are a lot of things to see.

“Having missed out on many of them before to Covid, Brits are taking advantage of the opportunity to see everything they’ve been waiting for.

“When it comes to planning a staycation, 29 percent of individuals say they want to be near attractions, while another 21% want to be near a bar.

“With hotels all throughout the UK and a pub at the center of it all, we’re seeing a surge in interest as people want to book accommodation.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
