Tobey Maguire joined the Avengers after meeting SPOILER

Last month’s SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME wowed audiences with a slew of unexpected cameos, but with rumors circulating that Maguire will appear in Doctor Strange 2, one dialogue exchange could have sparked the Avengers’ origin in a parallel universe.

The latest Marvel and Sony wall-crawling cinematic event has already proven to be a huge success.

It grossed more than (dollar)1.5 billion over the weekend, indicating that the franchise’s future is all but assured.

Could Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man make a comeback? Some lines from the film’s dialogue hint at an exciting next step for the hero.

Tom Holland’s Peter Parker revealed to Maguire and Garfield that he is an Avenger during the events of No Way Home.

The two new Spideys congratulated the young hero, who appeared to be overjoyed.

“The Avengers?” Maguire responded, “That’s fantastic! What is that?” Peter from Garfield added, “Is that a band? Are you in a band?”

“Wait, you don’t have the Avengers?” Holland, puzzled by their lack of knowledge about Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, asks Ed.

J Jonah Jameson was working on a name for the new villain in town, Doctor Otto Octavius, in Sam Raimi’s 2004 Spider-Man sequel Spider-Man 2.

Before settling on Doctor Octopus, one of his employees suggested “Doctor Strange?” Jameson replied, “That’s pretty good…

But it’s already taken!”

Maguire’s Spidey universe contains Doctor Strange, implying that there are more superpowered beings in his version of New York City.

Maguire returned to his own universe with the knowledge that other superheroes exist at the end of No Way Home.

As the web-head trio’s seasoned Spider-Man, he’s likely gone in search of other heroes who may have been hiding in his universe until now.

We already knew Doctor Strange existed in his universe, so why not Captain America? Iron Man? The Mighty Thor? Black Widow?

And, rather than Steve Rogers becoming the First Avenger, Maguire’s Spider-Man had the chance to jumpstart the superhero team.

In fact, this theory holds even more weight when.
