This week sees the arrival of the Abandoned PS5 Trailers app, and the Kojima Silent Hill rumors return.

With a first-of-its-kind trailers app due to launch this week on the PlayStation Store, PS5 fans will be one step closer to learning more about the mystery survival horror Abandoned.

The Abandoned PS5 trailers app will be available for pre-loading on Thursday, July 29. The app is the first of its kind, serving as a one-stop shop for Abandoned trailers, which can be viewed in real time on a PlayStation 5. Anyone seeing an Abandoned trailer on the app won’t have to worry about video compression because what they’ll see is exactly how the game will operate on their PlayStation 5.

While the Abandoned PS5 trailers app will be available to download on Thursday, the first trailer will have to wait a few weeks.

“We’re excited to announce that the Abandoned Trailers App will be ready to preload free of charge for all PS5 users on July 29 with the introduction available on August 10 followed by the first trailer later in August,” Blue Box Game Studios tweeted earlier this month.

“We have changed the app name from Realtime Trailers to Realtime Experience, thus the app will be released as Realtime Experience,” Blue Box added later. What can you anticipate?

“Multiple trailers* ranging in length from 5 to 12 minutes.

“Examples of Gameplay.

“Future live events. *As soon as they become available.”

Abandoned has been the subject of a lot of rumors and speculation since it was initially released, with the enigmatic survival horror frequently being associated to Hideo Kojima.

It’s been suggested that Abandoned is a cover for a new Silent Hill game that Kojima is working on, and that the game’s unveiling is all part of a larger ruse.

Kojima has a history of doing this, having previously revealed Metal Gear Solid V as the Phantom Pain, a game reportedly created by a mysterious, unidentified developer named Joakim Mogren.

It’s unclear whether Kojima would try the same tactic again, as Blue Box Game Studios has consistently denied any ties to Kojima and Silent Hill.

However, rumors continue to circulate.

Silent Hill Abandoned speculations went into overdrive last month after the official Blue Box Game Studios teased a connection to Silent Hill.

“Guess the name:” the account tweeted. Neglected = (First letter S, Last letter L). The reveal is getting closer… #PS5 #Exclusive”.
