The Sweet Potato Pie Recipe by Jennifer Garner unexpectedly removes 2 popular ingredients

She works for her food brand, Once Upon a Farm, when Jennifer Garner is not acting.

For children, toddlers and infants, the company makes organic treats, and Garner loves the farm-to-fresh snack bags so much that she eats them herself. Farmer Jen’s Sweet Potato Pie, influenced by a sweet potato pie recipe that Garner received from her grandmother, is one of the newest varieties.

On Dec. 1, Garner made the pie at her “Pretend Cooking Show”.

The video also featured her mother, Patricia, who prepared the treat via video call with her daughter.

The day after Thanksgiving 2020, the Alias alum and her mother filmed the video because, well, her and Ben Affleck’s children just wanted more pie.

Have you come across the expression “without the sugar!”? It is real, neither the recipe for “Once Upon a Farm” nor the interpretation call from Garner for sugar. Her mother adds sugar, however, and that’s not the only step Garner skips for her three children while preparing it – she also omits milk and eggs. Typical basic ingredients in sweet potato pie recipes include sugar, milk and eggs.

Here’s everything you need to make Garner’s version of the sweet potato pie from her grandmother Exie:

If you want to make Pat’s version of the recipe (also known as Grandma Exie’s recipe, which she received from a service flyer), you will also need 3 cups of milk and 2 eggs. 4-5 sweet potatoes1/2 stick butter1 teaspoon cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ginger1/2 teaspoon ginger1/2 teaspoon allspice1/2 teaspoon nutmeg1/4 teaspoon cloves1 teaspoon vanilla2 teaspoons salt

This recipe from Ina Garten was named ‘one of the best sauces ever’ by Jennifer Garner.

Instructions for sweet potato pie from Jennifer Garner.

Here’s how the pie should be made.

Please preheat the oven to 350 degrees first. Then peel the sweet potatoes, cover them in a big pot with water, bring them to a boil, simmer until tender, then drain.

Next, Garner beats the sweet potatoes when they are still hot with a hand mixer. First, her mother adds the spices, but after this phase, the actress prefers to add them.

Add whatever seasonings the recipe calls for when you’re ready to add the spices.

Garner writes in her instructions, ‘I start with the recipe and then add more.’

If you use milk and eggs, add them and blend them together next time.

This should lighten the mixture’s color and make the texture a bit more creamy. It will maintain the traditional orange color of the sweet potato if you use the Garner variety.

Then pour in a buttered casserole dish with the mixture. Bake for an hour if you’re making Pat’s recipe. If you’ve made the Garner formula, just heat up the mixture.

Attach a layer of small marshmallows and leave to brown in the oven, and your pie/pudding of sweet potato is ready!

For Thanksgiving, Garner and her family do this, but let’s face it, we should not restrict our intake of care to only the holiday season.
