The storyline hole in Virgin River is that Preacher reveals a big fault in Christopher’s relationship.
The third season of VIRGIN RIVER premiered this summer, but viewers are growing increasingly dissatisfied with Preacher’s relationship with Paige’s son Christopher.
In the disputed third season of Virgin River, John ‘Preacher’ Middleton (played by Colin Lawrence) spent a lot of time watching for newbie Christopher (Chase Petriw). This year’s episode of the popular Netflix love drama elicited some passionate reactions to this unexpected couple, and some fans have pointed out some serious flaws in their relationship.
Since the smalltown romance returned in July of this year, the third season of Virgin River has gotten a lot of flak.
Fans have even more cause for complaint now that one of the most significant plots in the most recent installment has been called into question.
Paige Lassiter (Lexa Doig) fled town after killing her abusive ex-husband, Wes, at the end of season two (Steve Bacic).
Preacher was left to look after her son Christopher, who pleaded to stay with him after his mother left town.
Although the ex-marine clearly cares about Christopher, supporters believe he took some extremely risky moves that put Christopher in danger.
The most blatant incident was in the sixth episode of the new season, titled “Jack and Jill.”
Preacher manages to leave Christopher unattended during a major public fair, despite telling his mother that he would look after him.
He becomes panicked and enlists the assistance of Jack (Martin Henderson) and Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) to assist him in his search.
Fortunately, Christopher is found, but this unnecessary catastrophe cast doubt on Preacher’s parenting abilities.
Despite the fact that he does not have children of his own and has only been caring for Christopher for a short time, he had been extremely cautious up to this point.
Some viewers were left wondering if Preacher is truly as loyal to Christopher and his mother as he professes.
Since the publication of Virgin River’s third season, their relationship has become a major source of debate among fans on message boards.
