The script for The Seven Year Itch by Marilyn Monroe is for sale for £90,000.
For £90,000, you might own MARILYN Monroe’s script for The Seven Year Itch, complete with her suggestions to “swing hips” and “maintain her twinkle.”
In Billy Wilder’s 1955 rom-com, the starlet, then 28, wrote herself directions for getting into character as the come-hither neighbor.
The 113-page “FINAL” manuscript contains penciled notes to be “free, direct, open, honest, frank, charming – fresh, a sparkle.”
“My body into his as if I want to sleep with him right then and then,” says another. Swing your hips once more.”
The film teamed her with stage actor Tom Ewell as the amorous neighbor, and featured a sequence where her dress gusts up over a vent.
In Dallas, Texas, the script will be sold tomorrow. “She prepared to play Marilyn, performing the character,” Heritage Auctions stated.
