She has since spoken out about what it was like to see him deteriorate and on what occasions she had to help physically assist her father. Furthermore, she claimed that Michael Jackson was afraid to pursue the same path – and she also indicated that this commonality in the lives of the two men contributed to a great deal of unhappiness.

Toward the end of his life, Elvis Presley was suffering mentally, and Lisa Marie Presley saw it firsthand.
When Elvis Presley drops, there were moments when Lisa Marie Presley had to help prop him up.
“Out of nowhere he started falling and I had to run and catch him and he was about 6 feet tall and pretty heavy and I held him up,” she recalled.
Lisa Marie Presley clarified that her father felt separated from others at the end of his life. She says that things have become so bad that she begs him not to die.
“It just started to get too ordinary. He wasn’t too happy. He was in such an ivory tower and so untouchable and so alienated.”
Actually, I said to him, ‘Please, you’re not going to die, are you? Don’t die.’ I didn’t know what was going on at the moment. I wish I had understood. I didn’t know what was going on. I just thought, “He’s not happy.” She explained, “[I thought] My God, what’s going on?”
The same fate frightened Michael Jackson,
Michael Jackson, who married and divorced Lisa Marie Presley, once told her that he expected the same kind of death as Elvis Presley.
Lisa Marie Presley wrote about their previous discussions about the topic after Jackson’s death.
“Years ago, Michael and I had a deep conversation about life in general. I don’t remember the exact topic, but I think he asked me about the circumstances of my [father’s] death,” she explained.
“At some point, he stopped, stared at me very intently, and said with an almost calm certainty, ‘I’m afraid I’m going to end up like him, (dying), like him.'”
“I promptly tried to dissuade him of that idea, to which he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter-of-factly, as if to let me know he knew what he knew, and that was that,”I quickly tried to dissuade him from the idea that he had just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter-of-factly, as if to let me know that he knew what he knew, and that was it.
This theme was shared by Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson,
The daughter of Elvis Presley later added that there was one thing in common with both Elvis and Michael Jackson – the sycophants they appeared to surround themselves with. These individuals were referred to by Lisa Marie Presley as “vampires” and suspects who played a major part in the demise of Elvis and Jackson.
A really deep stage was where he had to make the decision. Was it me or the drugs and vampires (creepers)?
And he moved me further,’ she clarified.
With my dad, it was the same.
When I was mad at the people around him, there were moments, ‘Why didn’t you stop him, why didn’t you say something?’ Well, because you were out if you did. It was really easy,’ she added.
