Pals who not only share a love of cooking are Taylor Swift and Ina Garten – they also have a shared pet peeve.
Find out what they’re irritated by Swift and Garten saying about food.
There is a popular pet peeve between Garten and Swift
Since both women enjoy cooking for friends and family, it’s no wonder that when people don’t want to eat, they both get irritated.
In 2014, Garten and Swift got together for the July/August issue of Food Network Magazine to cook and share stories. Swift traveled with her mother, Andrea, and brother, Austin, to the Hamptons, and everyone had a nice time.
Garten and Swift prepared a recipe for mustard-roasted fish and a pavlova for dessert. They were greeted with warm date bread and coffee.
The time they spent together gave them the opportunity to speak, and they spoke about how much they both hate it when they don’t eat. I’m cooking for the boys and they’re like, ‘I’m on a diet,'”I cook for the guys and they’re like, ‘I’m on a diet,'” “I’ll be like, ‘I can’t hang out with you.'”
Garten agreed with the superstar of music, speaking of a guest at dinner who claimed she was on a diet.
However, the visitor drank a whiskey sour – and asked for another one.
A happy hour quickly ignited the cocktail conversation after Swift remarked, ‘Yeah, I’ve never had a whiskey sour before.’
As she happened to have the drink ready in her freezer, the Barefoot Contessa came to the rescue. Before anyone devoured the cake, Swift invited her family members to partake in the day’s drinking.

Taylor Swift raves about Ina Garten
Garten is a Swift superfan and, as proven by a 2020 interview with Katie Couric, she clearly adores the singer, in which the chef had nothing but positive things to say about Swift.
Fans’ questions were answered by Garten, with one wondering if she had listened to Swift’s new song.
“Of course I have. I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan,” Garten responded. “Isn’t she incredible? She’s so, so smart, and the extraordinary thing about her is that she takes her own advice. She knows exactly what she wants to do, her mother is her manager, and I’m sure she gets ideas and works with a lot of people, but she knows exactly … she makes the decision.”
Garten added, “I’m sure there are a million people trying to get her off her game or trying to get her to do something else, but she knows exactly what she wants to do,” “And that’s why it comes out the way it does.”
Garten also took her squad to one of the concerts with Swift. She explained how she had been shocked by what the singer said at the show.
“She said, ‘You know, we all get upset about what’s said about us on the Internet, but the truth is, what we tell ourselves about ourselves is so much worse,'” Garten remembered.
“And I thought, ‘Wow.’ I’m not a teenager, but I really got it,”And I thought, ‘Wow.’ I’m not a teenager, but I really got it. “I thought it was so wise to check ourselves and stop saying these things to ourselves because it’s harmful.”
“How she became so wise, I don’t know, but she really is,” Garten added.
