The majority of Express readers will not travel to any of the countries on the Amber List this summer.
The majority of Express readers feel the government’s latest travel update will increase the number of Covid cases in the UK. Grant Shapps, the Secretary of State for Transportation, said last week that travel advice would alter on July 4th.
“I can confirm today that, as of July 19, UK residents who are properly vaccinated as part of the UK vaccination rollout will no longer be required to self-isolate when they return to England,” Mr Shapps said.
“They’ll still have to take a test three days before they return, the pre-departure test, to prove they’re negative before they fly, and a PCR test on or before day two, but they won’t have to do a test on day eight.
“In essence, this means that the standards for green and amber list nations are the identical for fully vaccinated travelers.”
