The ‘ideal’ campground in the Lake District has been dubbed ‘terrific’ by TV campers.
The Perfect Pitch, a new Channel 4 show, is attempting to find the best campground in the Lake District, and the findings were released today.
Camping enthusiasts assessed five campsites on The Perfect Pitch over the course of a week.
In the Lake District, the campers were looking for the ideal pitch.
The campers visited Skelwith Fold in the previous episode in the Lakes.
Skelwith Fold, in the middle of the Lakes, is two miles from Ambleside.
The settings were not particularly appealing to campers.
“I’m in the Lake District, I want the view,” Caroline explained.
Skelwith Fold has no vistas, but there are plenty of things to do in the neighborhood.
The campers travel to Grasmere to see Dove Cottage, poet William Wordsworth’s house.
The campers deem this “beautiful” and give it their stamp of approval.
The group then went to Coniston for a rowing boat experience and a race, taking advantage of the lakes in the area.
Skelwith Fold came in last in the week’s ratings despite “appearing very well organized” and putting on a circus display for the campers.
Burns Farm and Baystone Bank Farm were the two best campsites after the campers rated the final campsite of the week.
After that, the group had to vote on which pitch was the best in the Lake District.
Burns Farm has been named the winner.
Burns Farm in Keswick was the ideal pitch in the Lake District.
Reviewers on Tripadvisor concur.

“The booking process was simple, communication was excellent, and everything was easy to locate on location.” The amenities are excellent and absolutely clean!” Outside, there’s also a bike wash station, which came in useful.
“Awesome site that we will surely visit again.”
“Amazing camping with spectacular views,” PJday77 said.
“Camping at its best,” Linda Mc wrote.
“Burns Farm is in an ideal location for hill walking, cycling, running, open water kayaking, and other outdoor activities.
“Many hill treks can start and end at the campsite, so there’s no need to drive.”
“It’s the perfect campsite for us, with modern shower blocks and a small number of private restrooms (we had one – FAB! ), as well as a shop/laundry that’s about finished.
“Hosts are highly helpful and ensure that the place is well-kept.”
