The Flash season 8: Barry will face the “greatest baddie yet,” according to the showrunner.
The emotional season seven finale of THE FLASH aired on the CW on July 20, and fans are overjoyed that the show has been renewed. Showrunner Eric Wallace, on the other hand, has hinted at what fans might expect in season eight, and it doesn’t seem good for Barry.
The Flash is a superhero show that follows speedster Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) as he battles the villains of Central City. After an epic battle in The Flash’s season seven two-part finale, Heart of the Matter, showrunner Eric has hinted that Barry will confront his biggest ever foe in the CW’s upcoming season eight.
Barry was pitted against August Heart aka Godspeed (Karan Oberoi), a criminal speedster from the year 2049, in season seven.
He starts brainwashing dozens of versions of himself and sending them back in time to torture Team Flash.
The clones separated into two factions, one that wanted to kill August and the other that became evil and tried to take Barry’s speed.
Following a dispute between the two, showrunner Eric has revealed The Flash’s destiny, as well as Barry’s major new foe for season eight.
Eric expressed his wish for Barry and Iris to be “happier than ever” in season eight.
The showrunner told viewers that the issue would be solved next season because Iris (Candice Patton) is now suffering from time sickness.
He hinted, “That’s a problem that still needs to be handled, and you’ll never guess where it goes.”
“It’s going to be amazing,” he says before adding to the TV Line.
With the other CW superhero shows, fans can look forward to a five-part special event.
Eric, on the other hand, was hesitant to term it a “crossover” because it won’t have the same “feeling” as a crossover episode.
He also hinted at the villains for Season 8, saying that comic books will have a big influence on the upcoming season.
Eric was eager to introduce both new and returning enemies who would face off against Barry.
“One of our new villains, in particular, will be the largest and most powerful foe the Flash has ever encountered — and that’s saying a lot!
“We’ll face this one-of-a-kind baddie early on in season eight.”
Some familiar faces, notably those from the early seasons, will return, according to the showrunner.
The recognized faces will reappear in “strange ways,” according to the Brinkwire Summary News.
