The first teaser trailer for ‘The Flash’ has arrived, hinting at Michael Keaton’s return as Batman.

The Flash has been one of the slowest-moving superhero films of all time, but the first teaser has finally arrived. As part of the DC FanDome virtual event on Saturday, DC Entertainment gave a sneak peek at the next film. The movie looks like it will live up to the expectations based on the few photos that have been released.

Ezra Miller, who plays the eponymous hero also known as Barry Allen, gave a 40-second introduction to the teaser for The Flash. He is seen strolling around dismal sets in astonishment, perhaps visiting Wayne Manor, in the teaser. Ben Affleck appears to be performing the voice-over as Batman, yet his face is not seen even when the back of his hood is shown. Two other persons wearing Flash clothing are also seen in the teaser, implying that some of DC’s other speedsters may make their big screen debut in this film.

The Flash is a film written by Christina Hodson and directed by Andy Muschietti that will hit theaters on November 4, 2022. It will tell a reimagining of one of the most popular Flash stories, Flashpoint. In it, Barry goes back in time to try to prevent the murder of his mother, inadvertently splitting the chronology. He must next cope with the existential ramifications of his actions, as well as the new enemies he has created.

Affleck, like Michael Keaton, who originally played Batman on the big screen in 1989, has stated that he will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne in this film. According to The Wrap, the events of that film, as well as Batman Returns in 1992, will be canonical to Keaton’s Batman, but not those of Batman Forever (1995) or Batman & Robin (1995). (1997).

Bruce Wayne was slain in the alternate universe Barry created, according to comic books and an animated film adaptation of Flashpoint. Instead, he was aided by a reincarnation of Thomas Wayne who escaped the mugging and went on to become Batman. Unless DC is keeping it for a huge surprise, the new film appears to change that component of the tale.

Meanwhile, Supergirl will be played by Sasha Calle, Iris West will be played by Kiersey Clemons, and Barry’s parents will be played by Maribel Verdu and Ron Livingston. Actors Saoirse-Monica Jason, Rudy Mancuso, and Luke Brandon Field have been cast in parts that have yet to be revealed, prompting fans to speculate about what this cast will be up to.
