The Derbyshire town has been named one of the most beautiful in the country, as well as’my favorite hideaway refuge.’

THE COUNTRY’S MOST BEAUTIFUL TOWNS ARE TRUE HIDDEN JEWELS, and one Derbyshire village is proving that the Peak District is a visitors’ paradise.

Daffodil Hotel has chosen a Derbyshire town as one of the most beautiful in the UK.

The name may be familiar to Britons, but have they ever visited?

Bakewell, Derbyshire, has been named one of the most beautiful towns in the United Kingdom.

While most Britons are familiar with Bakewell tart, there is much more to Bakewell than that.

“There is no finer county in England than Derbyshire,” wrote Jane Austen, and tourists to Bakewell may agree.

The market town is just stunning.

It is the largest town in the Peak District, situated on the Wye River’s bank.

Bakewell is a terrific weekend destination because of the numerous attractions in and around the town.

“My favorite getaway sanctuary in the Peak District of England,” user Stagespotlight said on Tripadvisor.

“If you want a fantastic holiday in one of the most beautiful sections of the UK, Bakewell and the surrounding area would be extremely difficult to beat,” he concluded.

Britons should go to the source for the compulsory Bakewell tart or pudding.

The delights are available at a variety of shops, bakeries, and cafes across town.

A journey to Bakewell would not be complete without a taste of this local icon, which is said to have been made by mistake by a local cook in centuries past.

Bakewell’s market is held on Mondays, and Britons who have finished their shopping may spend several hours browsing around.

On a sunny day, a stroll along the river will provide plenty of photo opportunities.

The river is crossed by the Bakewell Bridge. The medieval structure is worth a look if you want to get a taste of what Bakewell was like in the past.

There are several must-see activities further away that vacationers may want to visit.

Most holidaymakers’ lists include Chatsworth House, which has been featured in numerous films and television shows and has been chosen the country’s favorite country house on multiple occasions.

Pemberley was featured in Pride and Prejudice and The Duchess, as well as Peaky Blinders.

“Completely blown away by my visit today,” JoC22 wrote on Tripadvisor.

“The house is a treasure trove!” commented Sophie2H.

“This may be the most gorgeous stately home in England,” Caroline T commented, “it really is a breathtaking sight when you arrive.”
