Hawkeye is played by Jeremy Renner again in the new series, while Kate is played by Hailee Steinfeld for the first time.

The young actress spoke with SFX Magazine recently about her preparation for her role in the MCU and compared reading Marvel Comics to reading Emily Dickinson’s poems, which she also portrays in the Apple TV(plus) series Dickinson.

When asked if she’s been reading Marvel comics, Seinfeld replied, “Yes, as far as the comics go.”

“It’s similar to Emily’s poetry in that you have this world of limitless information.”

Comic books have always been one of my favorite forms of entertainment.

I’ve always been a visual person, and anything over 200-250 pages has always intimidated me, so comics have always appealed to me because of the visual aspect.

So I’ve had a lot of fun going through these comics and discovering these elements of Kate Bishop that we’re bringing to life in the show, as well as other elements of the comics.”

Hawkeye is expected to star Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee as The Clown, Tony Dalton as Swordsman, and others in addition to Renner and Steinfeld.
