Tanya Roberts: Amid news of her death, publicist says Bond girl and That ’70s Show star are both alive, publicist says


After previously declared dead, US actress Tanya Roberts, known for her roles in the James Bond film “A View to a Kill,” “Charlie’s Angels” and “That ’70s Show,” is still alive.

The US website TMZ quoted Mike Pingel, the actress’s agent, as saying that Roberts had died at the age of 65.

The site cited Roberts, who played the role of Stacey Sutton alongside Sir Roger Moore in his last Bond movie, A View To A Kill, as her partner and social media paid tribute to her.

Mr. Pingel said Roberts was still alive on Monday at 10am local time (6pm GMT) and the family was awaiting more news from Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

TMZ first announced her death, claiming that she collapsed and was hospitalized while walking her dogs on Dec. 24.

Interviewed by the U.S. television program Inside Version, Lance O’Brien, Roberts’ significant other, took a call from the hospital on camera telling him she was alive.

On the news, he burst into tears and said, ‘I am so happy.’

Born Victoria Leigh Blum in 1955, before moving to Hollywood in 1977, Roberts grew up in New York.

In the Charlie’s Angels television series, she replaced Shelley Hack and became the third angel alongside Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd.

She was nominated for a Golden Raspberry for Worst Actress after her performance in 1985’s A View To A Kill.

In That 70s Show, she also became known for Midge’s role.
