Although Euphoria features a dynamic ensemble cast, Sydney Sweeney is undeniably one of the biggest breakout stars of the season. In an upcoming film or series, it seems like the actress is confirmed as a cast member every week, adding to her impressive resume.

In addition, the alum of All Sucks recently launched her own production company so that she can manage her fast-paced career even more.

It’s impossible to imagine that any actor initially had concerns about joining the project, considering how well Euphoria was received in its first season. Sweeney, however, when she first booked the part, was not one hundred percent sure she would accept Cassie Howard’s role. The actress disclosed in an interview with MTV that she had other offers to appear in various shows and she was debating whether to embrace them or Euphoria.

Because of the nudity, Sydney Sweeney was a little reluctant to join the ‘Euphoria’ cast.

The nudity that the show demands was one factor that led to Sweeney wondering whether she would join the cast of ‘Euphoria.’

Fans of the show will note that at some stage in the series, quite a few characters are seen semi-nude or nude, and Sweeney’s character is no exception.

But in the end, the alum of Sharp Objects thought that the nudity was realistic and not done for purposes of shock or entertainment, and she agreed to accept the part.

Actress ‘Euphoria’ focuses on filming in a “psychiatric facility” where 40 people were killed.

“There was a little bit of, ‘Oh, I don’t know if I’m going to do this because of the nudity,'”There was a little bit of, ‘Oh, I don’t know if I’m going to do this because of the nudity.’ “But then I sat back and thought, ‘If I were a 17-year-old girl having sex with my boyfriend, I’d take off my clothes.’ And it’s a real scene. It’s not glossed over. It’s not glamorized, it’s not covered up, and I thought to myself, that’s what makes the film. It’s real, and I just wanted to do justice to that reality, and it’s not about the nudity as well. It’s more about the circumstance she’s in.

The alum of ‘Sharp Objects’ shared how her nude scenes changed her.

Although Sweeney was anxious initially about Euphoria containing nude scenes, she felt good about her decision to do them in hindsight. The actress, in particular, shared that the scenes had made her feel optimistic.

The nude scenes helped her to tap into other feelings about herself, as she has always been very self-conscious.

“I’ve always been a confident person, and after doing those scenes, I felt kind of empowered,” Sweeney shared in Euphoria about the nude scenes. “I feel like no one can judge me. I just gave myself over to it and I feel confident.”

Why does Sweeney’s character ‘Euphoria’ stand out?

Sweeney made the right choice for herself, clearly. Not only has ‘Euphoria’ been highly well received by audiences and critics alike, but fans seem to enjoy the character of the actor sincerely.

Sweeney’s Cassie has a complexity which is often lacking in teen dramas, far from being the embodiment of the stereotypical common blonde stereotype (a la Serena van der Woodsen or Alison DiLaurentis).
