Several of the original books are referenced in Season 1 of “The Wheel of Time.”

Season 1 of The Wheel of Time is based on a series of best-selling novels written by Robert Jordan and finished by co-author Brandon Sanderson.

In terms of high fantasy elements, the series has already been compared to Game of Thrones.

The Wheel of Time, on the other hand, differs from Game of Thrones in one important way.

The Wheel of Time book series, you see, has already been completed.

The Wheel of Time series consists of 14 books in total.

So does this mean that each season of The Wheel of Time will follow the books in a chronological order, with Season 1 equaling Book 1 and so on?

The main plot of The Wheel of Time Season 1 is based on the first book in the series, The Eye of the World.

Season 1 does, however, incorporate elements from the second book in the series, The Great Hunt, as well as parts of the third, Dragon Reborn.

Rafe Judkins, showrunner of The Wheel of Time, confirmed this in a fan Q&A on the official The Wheel of Time Twitter page.

When it comes to adapting the vast world of The Wheel of Time books to the screen, Rafe explained his philosophy to io9.

“I think it’s smarter not to make a rigid plan for how you’re going to approach each season in terms of the number of books you’re going to cover.”

“When I broke it down, I was looking more at the overall stories and what needed to be told,” Rafe explained, “so there’s a couple of sections where three books could very easily make one season, and then there’s a number of different places where I think the one book needs to be the entire season because of the way the stories are told in it.”

Depending on the season, I have a different strategy.”

Because only the first three episodes of The Wheel of Time have been released, it’s too early to say how frequently the series will reference each of the first three books.

The first three episodes of the series appear to be primarily based on the first book in order to set the tone for the rest of the series…
