Season 6 of Outlander: Marsali and Fergus have a falling out as the actor previews a ‘testing’ series?
Lauren Lyle, who plays Marsali on OUTLANDER, may have just hinted at the breakup of her character’s marriage to Fergus in season six.
Outlander, a Starz series, following the lives of Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), a World War II nurse who unintentionally time traveled to the 17th century. During her love and war adventure, she encountered Marsali Fraser (Lauren Lyle), who, according to the actress, may be divorcing her husband Fergus Fraser (César Domboy) in season six.
Lauren Lyle gave away a significant spoiler regarding the sixth installment of Outlander in a recent interview with Radio Times, claiming, “it continues to simply grow quite a lot darker.”
When Marsali decided to avenge Claire in the season five finale, viewers got a peek of what was to come.
Marsali assassinated the offender Lionel Brown (Ned Dennehy) by injecting him with a fatal poison after the time-traveling nurse was brutally raped.
Marsali could be in for an explosive plot in season six after his brother, Richard Brown (Chris Larkin), pledged to exact vengeance.
“Marsali and Fergus have always been this great, romantic couple, young, cool – like the ones who make people laugh and are really genuinely in love with each other and have all these kids,” the actress remarked of her character’s relationship.
Lauren teased, “And this time in season six, it just got really deep and extremely dark, they’re at their most challenged, – It’s the most terrible moment that we’ve seen them and their relationship in”
“Marsali has really stepped up this season – it’s the first time you see her needing to step up and help the family while still dealing with her personal needs.”
Because she essentially brought war to her family’s doorstep, Fergus and their three children may be forced to flee in the coming season.
Although this may be their fate, the series has released some first-look photographs that may put the couple’s love to the test in a different way.
Roger (Richard Rankin) was photographed taking a baby out of the sea, fully dressed and soaked.
Many fans believe this child is Henri-Christian, based on the best-selling novels from which the series is adapted.
The couple welcomes a fourth child, born with disabilities, according to Diana Gabaldon’s sixth book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes.
“Brinkwire Summary News” is the setting for the show.
