Season 6 of Outlander is officially underway – when is this drought going to finally end?

Finally, Outlander fans have some positive news to rejoice.

The cast and crew are back on set and ready for season 6 after a long delay. It’s time to count the days before “Droughtlander” is done – so when is it really going to be over?

“A video revealing season 6 has been filmed by the “Outlander” actors

Originally, in May 2020, the “Outlander” cast and crew were expected to commence production on Season 6.

But the COVID-19 pandemic had other plans, of course. Outlander was already on hold in the fall when other television programs restarted.

They had to find a way to keep each other within ten feet of their hundreds of extras.

They also had to find a way to film the passionate love scenes on a set with new COVID security measures between Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe). It took a couple of months, but they seem to have found a way.

Heughan, Balfe, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin participated in a behind-the-scenes video of the costume department of the series to mark their return to the set of Season 6. The Outlander stars walk through a room packed with hundreds of costumes for the coming season in a three-minute clip.

On Fraser’s Ridge, there is also a portion dedicated to the new settlers.

To get back to work, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are “excited”

On Christmas Day, the Starz network shared the video on its official Instagram page. “They wrote in the caption that it was a “gift” for fans. Heughan tells the camera that he’s excited about going back to work in the exclusive sneak peek.

“We’re so excited to say we’re going to find a way to bring Outlander back to the screen,”We are so excited to say that we are going to find a way to bring the Outlander back to the screen.

Heughan announced that in Season 6, there’s going to be a new character, but he’s not going to be that new to Jamie.

“Actually, one of Jamie’s old rivals is Tom Christie in Ardsmuir. He comes to Fraser’s Ridge and tries to take a little leverage actually. So there’s a little bit of a power play.

And his daughter is becoming a very, very special part of the story,’ revealed Heughan.

Skelton told fans that in Season 6, they’ll see a lot more of “modern Brianna” She noted that “her inventor cap will be on.” Rankin vowed that “it will be brilliant.” whatever happens.

When will Season 6 of ‘Outlander’ premiere?

In a COVID-free nation, viewers may have been able to see this month’s end of “Outlander”

With the pandemic delaying production by more than seven months, however, it is likely that it will not end until the fall of 2021.

According to Express, Starz has not revealed a Season 6 premiere date yet. However, we know that it normally takes about ten months to film a typical season.

Usually, for a new Outlander season, the network releases a teaser about four months before it airs. Fans could see a preview this summer and new episodes in the fall of 2021, if the history is any indicator.

No specifics about the season 6 plot have been announced yet. The book series by Diana Gabaldon, however, is expected to follow.

This suggests that book 6, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, will be based loosely on the new episodes.

How the time-traveling Starz drama will follow the books’ development is not obvious.

Executive producer Ronald Moore says that every season, they will approach it “fresh”

“Should we keep it to one book per season?” Moore asked. “So far, that’s what we’ve done.

But we’ve talked about splitting the books up, and we’ve talked about combining them. We want to have the freedom in the writers room to pick and choose and do what feels best that year.”

Moore promised that as they get further into Season 6, the American Revolution will be “front and center.”

On the Starz app and Amazon Prime Video, seasons 1 through 5 of Outlander are available.
