Season 6 of Lucifer: Major ‘plot hole’ revealed with Chloe’s 5A kidnapping ‘Nobody arrested?’
LUCIFER fans were wowed by the last dramatic installment of the fantasy drama, but returning to the first half of the new season has revealed several regrettable plot holes.
The first eight episodes of Lucifer season five aired in August of last year, leading to a startling cliffhanger conclusion that set up the second half of the season. Several fans returned to the series on Netflix during the long gap between new episodes, only to discover the midseason finale was riddled with plot gaps.
In the early half of Lucifer’s fifth season, a perplexing plot error regarding Chloe Decker (played by Lauren German) was discovered.
Chloe finds herself at the hands of Michael, Lucifer Morningstar’s wicked twin brother, in the midseason finale, “Spoiler Alert!” (Tom Ellis).
With a little help from his brother Amenadiel, the devil was able to move his fiancée out of harm’s way and go head-to-head with his plotting sibling (DB Woodside).
Unfortunately, when it came to Chloe’s initial kidnapping, some viewers were left perplexed when they learned that the LAPD made no attempt to rescue their prized detective.
One perplexed fan resorted to Reddit to inquire as to why Chloe’s absence received so little attention from her fellow cops.
“What do the cops think – who kidnapped Chloe?” wrote user annabna.
“Didn’t someone get arrested for kidnapping and holding the Detective?”
Those in Lucifer’s inner circle, including Chloe’s ex-husband Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro), soon discovered his identical twin was sabotaging his life on Earth.
Even said, one user made an excellent point by reminding fans that Lucifer’s true identity is still unknown to LAPD’s trusted CSI Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia).
“Or even Ella – does Ella know who did it?” they continued. Pete?”
Pete Daily (Alexander Koch), Ella’s new boyfriend for Season 5, is eventually revealed to be the Whisper Killer, a horrific serial killer.
When Chloe goes missing, the sadistic criminal is brought in for interrogation, but he claims he has no knowledge of her whereabouts.

When Chloe is eventually found safe and sound, the name of her kidnapper is quickly forgotten, and the authorities do not pursue the case any further.
Ella plainly believes her evil ex-boyfriend was involved in Chloe’s kidnapping, but she doesn’t pursue the matter further once Chloe is found safe.
