Season 5 of The Handmaid’s Tale: Nick’s new wife betrays June in a revenge twist?
Season four of THE HANDMAID’S TALE premiered on Hulu earlier this year to rave reviews. However, as the danger grows all around them, a new hypothesis has emerged: June will betray her beloved Nick’s new bride, who is yet to be seen.
Nick Blaine (Max Minghella) is Gilead’s secret spy, and his past role as well as his current role as a Commander have put him in more risky situations than ever before in the latest season of the Hulu drama. June (Elisabeth Moss) escaped Gilead and attempted to save her daughter Hannah (Jordana Blake), according to a new idea, June’s severe new wife could wreak retribution on her for breaking Gilead’s regulations.
Nick has never felt at ease in his post as Commander, and Gilead’s spy has been quietly working to save the innocent residents of the tyrannical regime.
This has sparked a lot of debate among fans about Nick and June’s future and if they will ever be reunited with their daughter Holly.
However, the revelation that Nick had married for the second time in season four, as per Gilead law, was a shock.
More conversations have led to the conclusion that his wife may seek retribution against June for failing to fulfill the state’s rigorous requirements.
Is it possible that her act of vengeance has a deeper meaning?
In season one, Nick and June established a secret connection after June realized Nick could be trusted and was not like the other Commanders.
Will his wife learn they are still together and attempt to murder her for coming in the way of their marriage and the chance of having children?
Bruce Miller, the show’s creator and executive producer, spoke with the Producers Guild of America on YouTube about Nick’s hidden wife and hinted that she could play a key role in season 5.
“I would think that any marriage in Gilead was unconsensual from what we’ve seen,” the creator said when asked if Nick and his new bride were in a consensual relationship.
Miller stated, “I believe it is an unconsensual connection.”
“We haven’t met his wife yet, but one of the best parts of the book was the.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
