Season 5 of The Handmaid’s Tale: Luke to go into Gilead to find Hannah?

THE HANDMAID’S TALE fans are excitedly anticipating the premiere of season five, and have concocted an intriguing idea regarding Luke’s visit to Gilead in the meanwhile.

June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) ultimately became a free woman and reunited with her family in Canada in season four of The Handmaid’s Tale, but her daughter Hannah Bankole (Jordana Blake) remained missing. Fans believe her husband Luke Bankole (O.T Fagbenle) would travel to Gilead to save their child ahead of the release of Hulu’s dystopian series.

Viewers weren’t expecting a reunion when June landed on a ship bound for Canada.

After being separated for seven years, many expected her to run out into the arms of her husband, but instead he came to her.

June appeared to be gathering her thoughts before stepping foot on Canadian soil, still coming to terms with the fact that she had made it.

When Luke walked into the room, she began excessively apologising and regretting her decision to travel to Canada in search of freedom while her daughter remained in Gilead.

June attempted to kidnap her daughter from the home where she was being held captive and reunite her with Luke on several occasions, but she was unsuccessful.

June conned Commander Lawrence’s (Bradley Whitford) mentally ill wife Eleanor Lawrence (Julie Dretzin) into going for a stroll to Hannah’s school when she was confined there.

Eleanor was confined to her home, but June had little choice because she was not permitted to leave the house alone as a Handmaid.

This scheme, however, backfired when June was denied admission to the school because she was a Handmaid.

June made it to Hannah’s house in season three, but with the sound of sirens and Guardian hunting her down, all she could do was scream outside her bedroom door, realizing that she had failed yet again and would be punished.

During their emotional reunion, Luke was able to calm June and promise her that they would continue their search for their daughter in Canada, where she would be safer.

After June’s numerous fruitless attempts, people believe Luke will enter Gilead and save her.

This was alluded at during actor O.T’s interview with, when he remarked about his character, “He feels a great sense of incompetence.” But he wasn’t active enough in the beginning.”

June crossed paths with Commander Nick Blaine in season four. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
