Season 2 of Law & Order: Organized Crime: Stabler to go undercover to go down Wheatley?

Fans of the NBC drama LAW AND ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME are ecstatic to see photographs of star Christopher Meloni back on set. However, new photographs of the actor dressed in a firefighter’s gear have fans speculating if season two would see him go undercover.

Following the emergence of two images of actors Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay on the set of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, a new idea concerning Stabler’s role in tracking down antagonist Richard Wheatley (played by Dylan McDermott) on Organized Crime has surfaced. On the NBC crime drama, how far will Stabler (Meloni) go to find the man who murdered his wife? Could his actions have an impact on his growing connection with Benson (Hargitay), his former partner?

Some on-set images of actor Christopher Meloni went viral a few weeks ago, sending fans into a frenzy as they tried to figure out what they meant for Stabler’s future.

The actor sported a thick beard and was dressed in a New York Fire Department costume.

Fans have speculated on Twitter that the character would go undercover in the upcoming season as a result of the sight.

“I’m here for Stabler going all out and going undercover as part of the FDNY,” one admirer said.

“Stabler as undercover at FDNY?” enquired another admirer. #SVUxOC.”

“Stabler dressed in a fdny uniform???? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?” shouted another ecstatic admirer.

“Why would he be undercover as a fire department emt?” said another person, who wondered if the detective’s new look was all a dream. “I’m guessing it’s a dream.” (sic)

Another viewer agreed, but was perplexed as to how a dream sequence would fit into the show: “This is the only thing that comes to mind because it doesn’t make any sense.”

Is it possible that Stabler will go undercover to track down Wheatley?

Fans are unanimous in their belief that he will go undercover in season two, but why as a firefighter?

Wheatley is still on the run after escaping from custody in season one, so possibly he has a firefighter friend who is assisting him in his escape.

Will the criminal make it out alive, or will Stabler’s diligence prevent him from doing so?

Stabler’s wife Kathy (Isabel Gillies) was tragically killed by the criminal lord in a car explosion in the sequel series’ debut.

The former detective joined the special because he wanted vengeance. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
