On Monday morning, the Maori All Blacks centre died in a single car collision in Tauranga in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty region.
He was the only one who was hurt in the accident.
Wainui is survived by his wife Paige and their two children, Kawariki, 2 years old, and Arahia, his stepdaughter.
