Sarah Ferguson, a happy parent and grandmother, says that the family unit is “vital.”
After divorcing in 1996, SARAH FERGUSON and Prince Andrew maintained a united face and are now pleased grandparents to August Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie’s son born earlier this year.
Fergie and Andrew married in 1986 and had two daughters, Princess Beatrice in 1988 and Eugenie in 1990. In 2018, Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank and welcomed her first child, August, in February 2021. Beatrice, her older sister, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a COVID-secure wedding in 2020.
Princess Beatrice confirmed earlier this year that she is expecting her first child, much to her mother’s excitement at the prospect of becoming a grandmother once more.
Fergie came on Lorraine with Christine Lampard to promote her new book, ‘Her Heart For a Compass,’ and spoke about becoming a grandma for the first time.
“I’ve had sisters, I’ve got daughters with extremely gorgeous Barbie dolls, and in fact, my children weren’t permitted to build them, so I had to do it because I’d want to manufacture all the equipment,” Fergie explained.
“But now I’m into trains, trucks, tractors, and all that things, which I’m going to learn, and I think August is a terrific young chap!”
” Fergie gushed about her ex spouse, as well as being a proud grandmother and looking forward to becoming one again when Princess Beatrice gives birth to a new royal baby in the autumn.
“Prince Andrew is just such a nice man and a great father,” she continued.
“We performed an excellent job of co-parenting, which is why our daughters are strong and have their feet planted firmly on the ground.
“But now that he’s a grandfather, oh my goodness, you know he’s really excellent; he can talk about football and all kinds of stuff for hours, but it’s a joy to see him truly shine as a grandfather.
“Communication, compromise, and compassion are the three c’s that I believe are essential,” Fergie said on the One Show with Alex Jones and Gethin Jones yesterday.
She expressed her admiration for her two daughters, stating, “Eugenie is a wonderful mother.”
“Everyone says, ‘Oh, your grandchild is so amazing,’ but I say no because I’m so proud of my daughter!
“She’s a wonderful mother, and Beatrice is about to give birth any day now.” The Duchess of York has had a tumultuous career as a member of the Royal Family. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
