Samuel West of All Creatures Great and Small reveals a ‘big’ flaw in the series.

This year, Channel 5 viewers were treated to a second season of ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL.

However, the show’s star, Samuel West, has pointed out a flaw.

With James finally proposing to Helen Alderson (Rachel Shenton) at the end of the second season, All Creatures Great and Small made its highly anticipated return this year.

For many of the characters, romance was in the air, and even boss Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West) embraced his more sensitive side.

The show has been a huge hit with Channel 5 viewers, but Samuel, 55, has brought up an issue with the first season.

“The only thing was that somebody wrote to me, saying, ‘You were all having tea without a tea strainer,'” Samuel explained in his book The World of All Creatures Great and Small: Welcome to Skeldale House.

“That, to me, is the major distinction between the first and second series.”

“The tea strainer is in the second, but not the first,” the actor joked.

Samuel also discussed the difficulties the cast faced on set while filming the second season during the coronavirus pandemic.

“There were all kinds of tensions,” he said.

“I noticed her eating a sandwich one lunchtime, and I told her, ‘Gemma, you know, we’ve been working together for three months.’
