Sam Quek presents the final BBC show with Dan Walker, who teases her with the possibility of landing an Olympic gig in 2024.

SAMANTHA QUEK has revealed that today was her and Dan Walker’s final day presenting Olympic Breakfast together, as she addressed an emotional farewell to her colleague after fronting the BBC show for more than two weeks.

After delivering their final show together, BBC Olympics broadcaster Sam Quek, 32, took to Twitter to write an emotional farewell to her co-star Dan Walker, 44. The BBC team has been presenting the BBC’s Olympic morning coverage together for the past 16 days, and Sam said today that this morning’s broadcast will be her and Dan’s final one together.

One more #OlympicBreakfast to go, but that was my last with @mrdanwalker Sam Quek, who has 195,000 Instagram followers, shared a black-and-white selfie with her co-star, in which they both make sorrowful looks.

She said, “I have one more #OlympicBreakfast to go, but that was my last with @mrdanwalker.”

The actress went on to praise her coworker for sharing his knowledge and being patient with her as she learned how to navigate the show.

“I simply wanted to offer a huge THANK-YOU to Dan,” Sam concluded.

“Because you’ve been so giving with your patience, time, and feedback, I’ve learned more than I could have ever anticipated.

“It’s been an honor and a lot of fun!

” she wrote at the end of her tweet.

Dan responded by re-posting Sam’s comment and stating that he believes the former Olympian will be in position to host the next games in Paris in three years.

“You’ve been terrific to work with Sam and a proper chuckle too,” he added.

“Just bring me with you when you win the gig for Paris in 2024,” he said, before adding the hashtag, “#QueksCoattails.” The pair’s followers raced to the comments after hearing the news of the duo’s final day of presenting together.

“You and @mrdanwalker have been lovely to see in the mornings,” one person remarked. “Can’t wait to see you both in three years – finest Olympic coverage!” said another. “You did a terrific job!” wrote a third. What a dynamic duo. I’m sure we won’t have to wait three years to see you guys pair up again.” Dan and Sam have proven to be quite the broadcasting duo, and have not shied away from giving viewers behind-the-scenes peeks of their time hosting Olympic Breakfast throughout the international events.
