Just as “Draughtlaner” ended with season 5 of Outlander, the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) produced another Draughtlander.
The cast of the Starz drama – Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin – are back to work on season 6. Starz has not yet revealed a date for the return of the series, but the cast has plenty to impress fans.
[Spoiler Alert: This article includes spoilers which have been confirmed by the cast for Outlander season 6].
A video for Outlander fans on Christmas Day was recorded by Balfe, Heughan, Skelton and Rankin.
The cast showed off some of their historic Frontier costumes, shot in the dressing room, and shared a few tidbits about what’s to come next season.
Sophie Skelton adds more know-how of the 20th century to season 6 of “Outlander”
Brianna Fraser plays Skelton.
In the 1940s, Claire (Balfe) returned to the present, giving birth to Brianna. After Frank Randall (Tobia Menzies), the new adoptive father of Brianna, dies, Claire tells Brianna the truth about her biological father, Jamie Fraser (Heughan).
Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, “Outlander” actors, show the worst of dealing with maggots.
In 18th century Scotland and later in the American colonies, Brianna joins them, where she is preceded in time by her current beau, Roger (Ranking).
In Fraser’s Ridge, there are now three characters from the future, and Skelton said Brianna will use more of her modern-day experience in season 6.
“We’re going to see a lot more of the modern Brianna this season in terms of her inventor’s hat,” Skelton said.
Season 6, ‘Outlander,’ would baffle the character of Caitriona Balfe
As World War II nurse Claire time-traveled to 18th century Scotland,’ Outlander’ began. She just changed the course of history with her presence, not to mention that she fell in love with Jamie.
As a nurse and later a doctor in their presence, with her knowledge of advanced medicine, Claire was also able to support people in the 17th century. Season 6, said Balfe, is also going to question Claire.
Caitriona Balfe, the ‘Outlander’ actress, feels like a bear – here’s why.
“There will be things coming to the ranch that will challenge even Claire Fraser’s medical knowledge,” Balfe said.
Another character from the books will meet Jamie and Sam Heughan,
In the book The Fiery Cross, Tom Christie made his first appearance. Heughan said that in Season 6, the series would feature Christie.
In Season 6,’ Outlander’ star Caitriona Balfe looks forward to this’ beautiful part of the story.’
We have a new character, however,”We have a new character, but he’s not that new to Jamie,”he’s not that new to Jamie. “Actually, Tom Christie is one of Jamie’s old enemies. He comes to Fraser’s Ridge and actually tries to take a little bit of power. So there’s a little bit of a power play and his daughter becomes a very, very special part of that story.”
Richard Rankin apologizes for being delayed by ‘Outlander’
Rankin didn’t have anything new to tell about Season 6, but for the recent delay, he took full responsibility. Kisses, of course.
This year, of course, it was a long ‘Outlander’ because, as we all know, it was because of my hair,”Of course, it was a long ‘Outlander’ this year, and as we all know, that was because of my hair,” “So thank you guys for giving me the time to grow it out for Season 6.”
