JERSEY Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was slammed as “shameless” for sharing a clickbait story about a “brutally murdered” MTV star.

Fans rushed to Reddit to rip the 35-year-old for the post.

Ronnie took to Instagram on Wednesday to promote a clickbait article on his Instagram feed.

While covering the face of the murdered MTV star with a broken heart emoji, Ronnie wrote: “#RIP MTV star brutally MURDERED 💔 #LinkInBio”

The Jersey Shore star likely knew the post would be met with backlash, as he disabled the comments section.

However, that didn’t stop critics from calling out Ronnie and many rushed to Reddit to dub the TV personality “shameless.”

The thread- which was titled “He’s getting worse”- included a screenshot of Ronnie’s controversial post.

One critic wrote: “Clickbait is getting out of control. This is so distasteful to that poor guys family. Using a murder for clicks & cash…”

Another added: “He’s such a disgusting human. Who tf would post that.”

A third chimed in: “This is so distasteful.”

The backlash continued as another MTV fan commented: “This is the smut that pays for his vacations. What garbage.”

Others took to the Reddit thread to note that they “reported” Ronnie’s Instagram post.

The post Ronnie was promoting was about the death of Ex on the Beach star Chris Pearson.

On October 11, 2021, it was reported that Chris had died after an incident Los Angeles.

TMZ revealed that Chris passed away after he was stabbed in an altercation, which happened over the weekend of October 8.

Ronnie is no stranger to controversy and his past actions have led to his absence on the upcoming season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Back in May, he announced he was stepping away from the show following his arrest for domestic violence in an incident involving his fiance Saffire Matos.

He wrote on Instagram at the time: “After talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I’ve ignored too long.

“My number one goal now is facing my struggles head on.”

When production on the new season began, a source exclusively told The Sun: “Ronnie is not filming, at least not as of now. The cast started filming a little here and there two weeks ago, but now they are all filming full force, sans Ron.”

The insider added at the time: “There is no sign that Ronnie is joining, at least not anytime soon.”

However, Ronnie insisted in August that he will one day return to the MTV show.

The 35-year-old told TMZ: “I feel great, man. Four months sober, quit drinking.”
