Ringo Starr, a member of the Beatles, instructs a drumming class.
Please, drum roll…Ringo Starr is your new music teacher.
The former Beatle is giving a 12-part masterclass that includes how-to demos and behind-the-scenes stories from his time with the Fab Four.
Playing with them, according to Ringo, 81, was “like being psychic.”
“We knew what we were doing and we loved doing it with each other,” he added, adding that aspiring drummers should “love what they’re doing.”
A creative collaboration workshop will be included in his tutoring.
“You’ve got to do it your way,” Ringo, whose real name is Sir Richard Starkey, said.
It doesn’t matter if there are 40,000 or 40 people present; make some friends and have some fun.
“The more games you play, the better your life will be.”
Both as a Beatle and as a solo artist, Ringo has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
His course, which lasts one hour and 49 minutes and includes 12 video lessons, is one of more than 150 on the website MasterClass led by celebrities and experts.
