Queen Victoria’s renowned tiara is’steeped in royal history,’ according to photos.

THE QUEEN has worn a number of royal tiaras during her life, but one of her most famous tiaras was given to her by Queen Victoria.

When Queen Elizabeth II became Queen in 1952, she inherited a vast collection of royal jewels. Princess Elizabeth was allowed permission to wear a famous royal tiara for her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947 before she became Queen.

The future Queen Elizabeth II wore the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara to her royal wedding.

Princess Anne, the Queen’s daughter, wore the identical tiara when she married Captain Mark Phillips in 1973, in a lovely continuance of royal tradition.

Princess Beatrice, the Queen’s granddaughter, was the most recent royal bride to wear the tiara when she married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020.

For over a century, the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara has been in the royal collection.

The tiara was originally a necklace, and it was given to Princess Mary of Teck, later Queen Mary, by Queen Victoria upon her marriage to the future King George V.

The fringe necklace was later converted into a tiara for Queen Mary, yet it can still be worn as a necklace.

“It consists of diamonds set in gold and silver fashioned into 47 graduated rose-set tapering bars, divided by 46 slender spikes,” Daena Borrowman, Marketing Manager at jewellerybox, told This website.

“The diamonds in the tiara were originally part of a necklace given to Queen Mary on her wedding day by Queen Victoria.

“It was worn by the then-Princess Elizabeth on her wedding day when it snapped as she was getting ready and had to be rushed to Garrard’s for repair.

“Princess Anne and, more recently, Princess Beatrice are two more Windsor brides who wore the tiara on their wedding day.”

The design is said to be worth millions of pounds, although the Royal Family is unlikely to ever sell it.

“Steeped in royal history, this necklace may easily achieve more than £6 million,” Nilesh Rakholia, Director at ABELINI Jewellery, told This website.

The Queen no longer wears the tiara, preferring instead to wear the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.

When Princess Beatrice wore the glistening gown to her wedding last year, royal fans were overjoyed.

Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding in July 2020 surprised many royal enthusiasts.

Originally, Beatrice and Edoardo had a plan. “Brinkwire News Summary.”
