Producers of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse discuss a possible Tom Holland cameo.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versedelivered a variety of animated Wall-Crawlers to audiences in 2018, helping to introduce the concept of the multiverse to the Marvel film universe.

The live-action film Spider-Man: No Way Home expanded on that concept, bringing together iconic actors from all corners of the Spider-Man universe and uniting them in ways audiences had never seen before.

Producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) are keeping a tight lid on whether Tom Holland could lend his voice to the project, despite the pair recently sharing their enthusiasm for multiverse films.

The first installment of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released on October 7th.

“That’s an interesting idea that has never occurred to us separately,” Miller joked when ComicBook.com suggested Holland participate in Across the Spider-Verse.

So thank you for inventing that; you have full credit if something similar ever occurs.”

“I just like that there’s still so much potential in what Spider-Man can be, who can be Spider-Man, and what the different ways to tell that story are,” Lord added.

While fans will undoubtedly be excited to see Holland join the adventure, it’s possible that the filmmakers don’t want to rely on Holland in a way that distracts from Miles Morales’ power.

Miles Morales returns in the film for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to team up with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off against a villain more powerful than anything they have ever faced.

Holland, on the other hand, recently stated that he had been approached for a cameo but that it had not materialized.

“[Producer] Amy [Pascal] asked me on the set of [Spider-Man: No Way Home] and no one has responded,” Holland told SYFY WIRE.

Yeah, I’m a big fan of those films.”

On Friday, January 28th, Lord and Miller’s latest project, the Apple TV(plus) series The Afterparty, will premiere on the streaming service.

On October 7th, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) will be released in theaters.
