On ‘The Crown,’ Elizabeth Debicki recreates Princess Diana’s “Revenge Dress.”

In the midst of Prince Charles’ divorce, Elizabeth Debicki was seen on ‘The Crown’ wearing a replica of Princess Diana’s’revenge dress.’

Elizabeth Debicki was spotted recreating one of Princess Diana’s most notable looks while filming the highly anticipated fifth season of Netflix’s The Crown.

According to photos published by ET Canada, the 31-year-old Australian actress was photographed on the England film set wearing a slinky black gown that mirrored one of the Princess of Wales’ most iconic looks.

Debicki was photographed exiting a black sedan wearing an off-the-shoulder gown, matching tights, heels, and clutch, as well as a pearl choker and earrings.

To match the late royal, the Great Gatsby actress wore her hair in a short blonde ‘do.

Fans weighed in on the soon-to-be iconic season 5 scene shortly after Debicki’s The Crown costume was photographed.

On Friday, November 5, one fan tweeted, “UPDATE: THE REVENGE DRESS HAS ENTERED THE CHAT,” while another exclaimed, “We’ve reached the Diana revenge dress era of the crown.”

Debicki’s transformation into the late princess, who died in a Paris car accident in 1997, as well as her outfit choice, left social media users speechless.

“WHEN A GIRL NEEDS TO EXPRESS HER PROPER STATE OF DISTRESS REVENGE LOOKS BEST IN A F—K YOU DRESS,” a Twitter user said alongside Debicki’s photos on Friday.

Diana’s “revenge dress,” which she wore in June 1994, the same day Prince Charles, now 72, revealed on national television that he was having an extramarital affair, was one of her most memorable outfits.

When the People’s Princess stepped out in a Christina Stambolian cocktail dress at London’s Serpentine Gallery, she sent shockwaves around the world.

Debicki takes over the role of Diana from Emma Corrin in the fourth season of the Netflix hit, which focused on the dynamics between a newly married Diana and the Prince of Wales (Josh O’Connor) and his friendship with Duchess Camilla (Emerald Fennell).

While few details about the upcoming season have been revealed, fans have speculated that it will span Diana’s BBC interview in 1995 through her tragic death two years later.

“Princess Diana’s spirit, words, and actions live on in the hearts of so many,” Debicki said of her role…
