To the outside world, the ultimate fairytale romance seemed to be led by Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Yet both partners were dissatisfied behind closed doors.
Trapped in a loveless marriage, the due care and respect that a husband normally offers for his wife was all Diana desired.
Sadly, Prince Charles seldom got attention from her.
For health reasons, one of the most famous examples of this was when the princess fainted in public. Charles was furious, instead of thinking about Diana’s situation. The Prince of Wales seemed to care more for her public image than the well-being of his son, it became apparent.
What contributed to the fainting of Princess Diana?
Several factors, sadly, contributed to Diana’s public meltdown. The princess was not only overly tired from being on her feet all day long, but she was also dealing with an eating disorder.
According to Andrew Morton’s biography, Diana was bulimic, in Her Own Words.
Though she had never had issues with it before, after Prince Charles made a nasty remark about her weight, everything changed.
In her tell-all novel, Diana reveals, “I knew the bulimia started the week after we got engaged,” “My husband put his hand on my waist and said, ‘Oh, it’s a bit chubby here, isn’t it?’ and that sparked something in me—and I was desperate, desperate about the Camilla thing.”
Along with the lack of sleep, the lack of nutrients from her eating disorder finally caused her to collapse.
Princess Diana fainted and Prince Charles became furious with her because of it.
Princess Diana said that after confronting Camilla about her affair with Prince Charles, she cried like never before.
She revealed in Morton’s tell-all book, “It was at the Expo in Canada where I fainted.” I know I had never fainted in my life. For four hours, we walked around, we didn’t feed, and I still haven’t eaten for days. I mean, when I say that, the food has stayed down. I recall walking around and just feeling bad. I didn’t dare say anything to anyone because I figured they’d think I was a whiner.
In fact, Diana made a point of not complaining as much as possible to the royal family because she knew she was already considered a “problem.” by them.
In her novel, “My husband scolded me” (for fainting in public), Diana continues, “He said I could have passed out quietly behind a door somewhere else.” Everything was very humiliating. My point was that there was nothing I knew about fainting.
After her breakdown, Diana Spencer decided to rest in bed, but Prince Charles insisted that she go outside.
Why did the friends of Prince Charles advise him to “in a home”
Diana pleaded urgently with her husband, saying that she had to spend the night in bed to get some much-needed rest.
But Charles declined. He said, “Tonight, she has to go out.” Otherwise, there’s going to be a major drama, and they’re going to think that something is horribly wrong with her.
Diana claimed she was “terribly wrong” about something, but she was “too immature” to admit that.
She said, “I just felt miserable.” as a consequence of not having the medical treatment she wanted.
