I think it’s a pity he’s gone.
Lorraine Kelly is a well-known actress.
Piers’ journalistic abilities were praised by the Scottish singer in a new interview.
“As far as breakfast television goes, he really transformed it,” Lorraine added.
“Every now and then he’d walk right up to the line and cross it.”
She went on to call his departure from the ITV breakfast program a “sad,” but said that they are still friends.
“The thing about Piers is that you have folks who agree with him and those who don’t agree with him but want to know what he’s saying,” she explained.
“I think it’s a pity he’s gone.”
Lorraine said, “I have a lot of time for him.” I think he’s a fantastic journalist.”
Piers and she co-hosted GMB for a few weeks in March before he left the show.
Lorraine explained that she couldn’t work with the previous newspaper editor all of the time since they’re too similar.
“I don’t think I could do it permanently,” she remarked.
“I don’t believe that would work. We’re definitely too similar in a lot of ways,” she told The Mirror.
Following Meghan Markle’s candid interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, the controversial celebrity sparked outrage with his remarks about her.
“I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said,” he remarked on GMB. If she read me a weather report, I wouldn’t trust it.”
He then got into an argument with ITV weather reporter Alex Beresford about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s remarks, storming off the set.
ITV issued a statement hours later confirming the presenter’s departure from the show, which he has co-hosted with Susanna Reid for six years.
“Following conversations with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided that now is the right moment to leave Good Morning Britain.” Brinkwire Summary News, it stated.
