Piers Morgan retaliates after being labeled a “hypocrite” for criticizing the “stupid” Freedom Day.

PIERS MORGAN has retaliated after a Twitter user called him a “hypocrite” after he made critical comments regarding the lifting of coronavirus restrictions on Freedom Day.

Piers Morgan, 56, was forced to explain his decision to attend last weekend’s Euro 2020 final at Wembley after a Twitter user accused him of being a “hypocrite” in an argument about Freedom Day. The 19th of July has been designated as Freedom Day because it marks the end of legal Covid restrictions in England.

Because of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s decision, the few remaining establishments that were closed due to the pandemic, including as nightclubs, can now reopen.

In light of his 7.9 million Twitter followers, Piers took aim at Freedom Day this evening, prompting one individual to question why he chose to attend a huge gathering to support England in their match versus Italy.

“Stop calling it Freedom Day,” the former Good Morning Britain anchor raged alongside data revealing that the UK is presently seeing the highest new instances of the deadly virus.

“It’s so stupid when the pandemic is still raging and the UK currently has the world’s greatest number of new daily cases.

“The Delta variation is completely unaware of or unconcerned about July 19… all it wants is for us to lift all constraints at the most inconvenient time possible.”

In response to Piers’ negative remarks, an enraged Twitter user wrote: “You looked pretty free at Wembley last week, what a hypocrite!” ”

Piers was eager to explain his conduct, saying that he felt comfortable that Covid was complying until crowds without tickets descended on Wembley to watch the highly anticipated final.

“Yes, it felt secure and covid compliant (everyone either fully vaccinated or negative LFT) at Wembley during the Euros until the final, when 1000s of drunken fools forced their way in with no tickets or testing – and most likely turned it into a major super-spreader event,” he responded.

Fans weighed in on the topic in the comments area of Piers’ tweet.

“People just like to whine at anything,” one person wrote. Piers, you went to Wembley to support England whilst thousands of morons misbehaved inside and outside the stadium, do you have nothing better to do or tweet about??? ”

“Fully vaccinated people can carry and distribute the.”Brinkwire Summary News”, said another.
