Piers Morgan predicts a “sensational” return for GMB barely 5 months after leaving.
PIERS MORGAN’S shocking withdrawal from Good Morning Britain earlier this year following a fight over Meghan Markle surprised fans, but bookmakers are now predicting that he will return to the ITV show to host it.
Since outspoken broadcaster Piers Morgan famously abandoned the show in March, the ratings for Good Morning Britain have dropped. Piers hasn’t co-hosted the ITV news programme with Susanna Reid in nearly six months, and many viewers believe it’s not the same without him. However, the 56-year-old journalist is expected to return by the end of 2021.
For six years, the controversial journalist hosted Good Morning Britain and was known for his frequent outbursts, which frequently caused Susanna to roll her eyes.
Piers stormed off the set after an on-air spat with weather presenter Alex Beresford, who chastised his colleague for “continuing to trash” Meghan Markle, prompting Piers to leave.
Piers later announced his departure from the show after Ofcom revealed it was investigating his comments regarding Meghan Markle following 41,000 complaints.
Piers has failed to apologize for his comments during her interview with Oprah Winfrey and has continued to refer to her as “princess Pinocchio.”
Farage clashes with a Biden supporter, saying, “No one cares about a failing politician.”
Piers’ chances of returning to the show before the end of the year are at 4/5, according to the bookings.
“It’s been five months since Piers Morgan departed Good Morning Britain, and our betting suggests he might make a sensational comeback to the ITV breakfast show,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“We bet he’ll be back in his seat by the end of the year.”
Piers was amused to earn a nomination for the National Television Awards for Best Presenter on Good Morning Britain following his departure.
Piers could go on the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in November, in addition to a probable return to Good Morning Britain.
Due to coronavirus travel restrictions, the upcoming series will be recorded in Wales for the second year in a row.
Ant and Dec, the Geordie couple who have led the ITV reality show since 2002, will continue to host the show.
However, Piers’ chances of going on I’m A Celebrity have been reduced to only.
