Peggy Lipton, Elvis Presley’s girlfriend, says the King was “virtually impotent.”

In the 1970s, Elvis Presley had a brief romance with actress Peggy Lipton, who later penned a memoir about her time with the King. When he couldn’t perform in the bedroom, the actor described him as a “child who never matured.”

Elvis Presley had a lot of girlfriends throughout his life. After his divorce from Priscilla Presley in 1973, the King took some time to focus on himself. He practiced karate and went out on dates. Peggy met Elvis a couple times between 1973 and 1974 as an actress, model, and singer. Peggy was well-known at the time for her role as Julie Barnes in the TV drama The Mod Squad.

Peggy talked about what transpired behind closed doors with Elvis in her 2005 memoir, Breathing out.

Details regarding their sex life – or lack thereof – were included in this material.

“He flew me away on his plane and, I suppose, brought me up to Tahoe,” she wrote. We attempted to get to bed as soon as possible.

“With Elvis, there was nothing to talk about. He was either practicing karate or eating.”

“There was really no communication there,” Peggy said, “so we went to bed right away and it simply didn’t work out for him.”

Elvis refused to give up despite their failed attempts to be together.

“We tried a few more times and nothing occurred, so I just let it go,” the actress concluded.

“He didn’t feel like a man next to me, but more like a boy who’d never matured,” she continued.

“Elvis knew he was sexy; he just wasn’t up to sex,” Peggy continued. Not that he wasn’t built, but with me, he was practically powerless.

Despite the fact that Elvis and Peggy couldn’t get to where they wanted to be together, their bond remained strong.

Peggy gushed about how fascinating the King was before describing how much she enjoyed getting to know him throughout their brief courtship.

“It wasn’t the most crucial thing to mention that I had done something with Elvis,” she wrote.

“I was kind of interested in his heart and his,” Peggy continued. “Brinkwire Summary News.”
