Ozark is one of Netflix’s biggest shows.
So far, the crime drama has released three seasons and there is a fourth in progress that is scheduled to be released in about the following year.
The fourth will be divided into two parts and will be the series’ final season.
But is this, for all the protagonists, the absolute end? Is there going to be a ‘Ozark’ spinoff?

In 2017, Ozark premiered and has continuously been running ever since. The series, starring Jason Bateman, revolves around Marty Byrde, an accountant who is involved in a Mexican drug cartel laundering money.
He moves to the Missouri Ozarks, where he and his family establish an even bigger operation, after things go wrong in Chicago.
The series got just a 70 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes when Ozark premiered.
For the first season, the critical consensus reads, “Ozark has yet to reach the level of classic crime dramas to which it will inevitably be compared, but its satisfyingly complex plot – and a riveting performance by Jason Bateman – suggest greater potential.”
“Ozark” has found its foothold in its third season, receiving high praise for its storyline, tone and character performances from critics and viewers.

There’s just one more ‘Ozark’ season.
He had fallen out with his right-hand partner, Ruth Langmore, who entered the drug operation of the Snells, the last time we saw Marty. Showrunner Chris Mundy has already spoken about Ruth and the Byrdes’ future to Entertainment Weekly:
I think it’s going to be about whether Ruth is really going to be able to make something of her own that she wants and is viable, or whether she wants something else.

For the fourth and final season, there is no formal release date yet.
Bateman has, however, already told IndieWire that manufacturing will begin in November 2020.
With that, either later in 2021 or early 2022, we might be getting new shows.
But again, because of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that has forced a number of film and TV productions to stop, it is difficult to tell.

What are the probabilities of a “Ozark” spinoff?
Netflix has yet to reveal any official plans for a “Ozark” spinoff.
But several proposals have been articulated by social media users, including one that centers around the character of Ruth.
