Owen Armstrong, a former Coronation Street resident, to return for custody of Joseph Brown?

Owen Armstrong from CORONATION STREET could return to the cobblestones in the coming weeks on the ITV soap as he attempts to reclaim custody of Joseph Brown after the youngster runs away from home.

Joseph (William Flanagan), who lived on Coronation Street for five years from 2010 to 2015, is the grandfather of Owen (played by Ian Puleston-Davies).

He oversaw the birth of Chesney Brown’s (Sam Aston) eldest son during his time on the ITV soap, but tensions between him and his daughter, Katy Armstrong (Georgia May Foote), made it difficult for him to form a bond with the youngster.

However, almost seven years after leaving the cobbles for a new life in Aberdeen, he appears to be on his way back, as he is concerned for his grandson’s safety after he goes missing.

Chesney will discover his eldest son is being bullied in next week’s episodes, while his partner Gemma Winter’s (Dolly-Rose Campbell) attention is drawn to the quadruplets.

The father of five expresses his desire to assist his son, but the youngster claims that speaking with the teachers will exacerbate the problem.

Chesney goes ahead with his plans, despite the schoolboy’s wishes, and Joseph vanishes from the cobblestones.

The kebab shop worker is making a television appeal by the end of the week’s installments because his son is nowhere to be found.

If the youngster’s grandfather Owen sees the broadcast, he may decide to visit Weatherfield to find out what caused Katy’s son to flee.

Owen may take action if he notices Chesney has his hands full with the quadruplets and appears to have pushed Joseph to the side.

The grandfather could tell Chesney when the schoolboy returns that he is going to file for custody because he is unhappy with how his grandson is feeling.

He could participate in the search for his grandson and learn where he has been hiding for the past few days.

Owen could stay around for a while longer now that Chesney is involved in the custody battle, and given the recent events, he could be granted temporary guardianship.

The courts will decide whether Owen wins his fight, but will Chesney put in the effort to keep his son with him?

The reintroduction of will be seen.
