‘One or two people?’ Davina McCall explains the ‘wild’ Masked Singer challenge.
DAVINA MCCALL has admitted that she suspected one of the Masked Singer characters was actually two people after being perplexed by their eccentric costume.
On Saturday night, The Masked Singer returns to ITV, with celebrities dressed in bright costumes to conceal their identities.
Judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, and Rita Ora must guess which celebrities are hidden behind the masks.
Davina, on the other hand, admits that deciphering the clues is difficult.
The actress revealed that one costume had her so perplexed that she couldn’t tell how many people were inside while filming the show.
In a recent interview with This website and other outlets, The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett and judge Davina discussed the show’s iconic costumes.
Davina described the imaginative outfits as “insane,” praising their size and detail.
“It’s just crazy,” Joel agreed.
Davina admitted that one costume in particular puzzled her as she reflected on some of her favorite outfits from the series.
“There was a costume where I was unsure whether they were a man or a woman for at least five weeks,” she explained.
“I mean, I was like, ‘Is that a man or a woman?’ every time they sang.”
“I was also like, ‘Is there one or two people in that costume?'” Davina said.
“It’s one of the biggest,” Joel remarked, clearly aware of the outfit his co-star was referring to.
“In terms of technicality, I believe this is the largest costume we’ve ever had.”
“Apparently, it took three people to take off the costume.”
“It’s enormous,” the comedian explained.
“I’m not sure how they got in and out.
They had this amazing robot-like walk, and I thought to myself, “Oh, this is part of the character.”
“But now I’m thinking they couldn’t walk,” she joked.
“They couldn’t walk because they couldn’t walk.”
It was enormous,” Joel continued.
Davina stressed the difficulty of correctly guessing each contestant’s secret identity.
“They hide everything,” exclaimed The Masked Singer judge.
“They disguise their speech, walk, and sing,” she continued.
Robobunny, who debuted on the show last weekend, could be the costume Davina and Joel were referring to.
