One Direction’s reunion is a’must’ for Simon Cowell, who would ‘love’ for the band to reunite.

ONE DIRECTION has been apart for six years, but media mogul Simon Cowell has stated that a reunion for the band “will happen,” lowering the chances of the band reuniting.

Despite the fact that One Direction disbanded in 2015 due to Zayn Malik’s departure, its devoted fans have been waiting for any sign of a reunion ever since. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, members of the band, have all addressed the possibility of a reunion, but nothing solid has been disclosed as of yet. Regardless, Simon Cowell believes it is just around the corner.

In a recent interview, Cowell stated that a historic reunion is on the way.

“I believe that will happen,” he stated. It would be the most incredible thing if they got back together and made records or toured again.” (Image courtesy of The Mirror)

Given that he was the one who got 1D together, Cowell is something of an expert in the group’s inner workings.

Before the mogul merged their efforts into the now historic band, each member of the band auditioned for the 2008 edition of The X Factor as a single artist.

Before a brief spell with Columbia, One Direction was a member of Cowell’s record label, Syco.

Following that, members of Syco, including Tomlinson, worked as solo musicians.

When asked which person he believes is holding out on the reunion, the 61-year-old answered, “I don’t know, to be honest.”

He went on to say that if he could “get into a room with them,” he could persuade them to begin planning a reunion.

Cowell went on to say that he would try to persuade 1D to reunite, even if it was only for six months.

“I think they should definitely do it,” he continued. It’s something I’d like to see happen.

“Of sure, the fans would love it.”

Following Cowell’s remarks, the chances of the band reforming have been substantially reduced.

Ladbrokes, the leading bookmaker, has set 1D 1/5 chances on the pair reuniting in 2021.

“Simon Cowell is certain he can bring the fellas back together, which will be music to Directioners’ ears all throughout the world,” said Alex Apati of the bookies.

“And it’s appearing more and more likely by the day that a reunion will happen before the end of the year.”

Horan’s words prompted this current report. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
