On This Morning, Holly Willoughby confirms that Spin To Win will be taking a long vacation.
Holly Willoughby, host of This Morning, stated on Thursday’s show that the show’s Spin To Win competition section would be taking a hiatus from screens for the time being.
Spin To Win, a competition-style segment on This Morning, has been temporarily canceled.
The daily ITV daytime series features a quiz-style segment in which viewers can call in and try to win prizes by spinning the wheel or playing the balls.
Presenter Holly Willoughby stated on Thursday’s show that Spin To Win would be taking a break from the screens.
After today’s battle, Holly appeared with Phillip Schofield and said, “Spin To Win is going to be taking a break right now, but keep a look out for when it returns.”
“No one’s touching my balls,” she joked later.
Following a series of embarrassing occurrences concerning the segment, Spin To Win has been taken off the air.
Presenters Holly and Phil were stumped on one night when no caller could be reached to participate in the challenge.
Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo also gatecrashed the segment earlier this month, causing havoc during his return to the show.
Viewers of Spin To Win might win up to £3,000 in cash or possibly a vacation.
One viewer won a £2000 travel certificate and a £750 cash prize on today’s episode (October 14).
The competition has already gone on hiatus from television before returning at a later date.
On weekdays, Holly and Phil host Spin To Win, but presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Alison Hammond, and Dermot O’Leary have also been known to join in the fun.
The regulations of the segment require viewers to supply a pass in exchange for the opportunity to play, and they must answer questions regarding the day’s show in order to win the prizes.
ITV’s This Morning airs daily at 10 a.m.
