On BBC One, how many episodes of Ridley Road are there?

RIDLEY ROAD is a fresh adaption of Jo Bloom’s novel set in the 1960s. What is the total number of episodes in the series? Ridley Road is a forthcoming BBC adaptation of Jo Bloom’s novel. The mini-series will launch on Sunday evening and will feature a cast of well-known actors. The plot is set in 1962 and follows a group of anti-fascists who fight rising neo-Nazism in the United Kingdom.

The first trailer for Ridley Road was recently posted on BBC One, confirming the show’s premiere date.

Ridley Road, set to premiere on BBC One on Sunday, October 3 at 9pm, is the broadcaster’s next big adaptation.

The show will be a four-part self-contained series that will look at the development of fascism in 1960s Britain and the brave people who stood up to it.

Vivien Epstein (Agnes O’Casey) is seen in the trailer going undercover in a neo-Nazi organization in order to bring it down from the inside.

The drama is based on genuine events reported in the same-named novel by Jo Bloom.

Following the death of her father, Vivien, a young Jewish woman, decides to go to East London from Manchester.

Vivien becomes involved with, and recruited by, an anti-fascist movement shortly after begging for a job in a Soho hair salon.

She is soon chosen to go undercover in a neo-Nazi organization, recklessly passing information to the outside world.

Despite mimicking real-world events, the show’s core plot is a pure work of fiction.

During the 1960s, fascism flourished in East London, with Ridley Road serving as the epicenter.

The organization that Vivien joins, Group 62, was real and formed in response to anti-Semitism at the time.

In 1962, when the series is set, both sides were at their apex, with a brawl in Trafalgar Square between them.

This is O’Casey’s first significant television role, and she stars as the lead in the four-episode drama.

“Sarah Solemani has blown me away with the care, compassion, and complexity with which she has written Vivien,” O’Casey stated of her casting.

“I’m looking forward to bringing this important and little-known narrative to life.”

Tom Varey, who plays Vivien’s love interest Jack Morris in Game of Thrones, will be joining her.

“Brinkwire Summary News” is another term used by the show.
