NVIDIA DLSS in 4K Call of Duty Warzone: Can this one setting make you a better player?

NVIDIA DLSS in 4K Call of Duty Warzone: Can this one setting make you a better player?

The recently added DLSS option in Call of Duty Warzone has the potential to be a game-changer in the competitive arena.

NVIDIA DLSS support was recently introduced to Warzone, giving Call of Duty fans reason to rejoice.

While playing at 4K, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) claims to boost performance by up to 70%.

It accomplishes this by utilizing AI Super Resolution to deliver the greatest frame rates and visual settings available.

This, in theory, means PC players will have to make fewer concessions when playing demanding games like Call of Duty Warzone.

To put it another way, activating DLSS allows you to have your cake and eat it as well. The visual quality can be increased without losing the frame rate.

I recently tested DLSS in Warzone on a 4K monitor with a high refresh rate to see if it’s all it’s talked up to be.

And Warzone’s new DLSS option blew me away like a Tactical Nuke showering down on a crowded battlefield!

There are a variety of DLSS alternatives to choose from, each with a recommended setup.

For example, Ultra Performance boosts FPS the most, yet it’s only suggested for 8K gaming.

Balanced, on the other hand, is recommended for 4K gameplay, while Performance is optimized for both performance and image quality.

Finally, there’s Quality mode, which improves the quality of visuals when playing in 2K.

It was incredible to watch Warzone’s frame rate soar from the high 60s and low 70s to upwards of 120 while using NVIDIA’s suggested Performance mode option for 4K.

Even in the most chaotic regions of Warzone, the frame rate stayed close to or around 100 FPS.

The smoother, faster performance provides you a considerably higher chance of surviving a fight in a game that requires cat-like reflexes and where every millisecond counts.

Being able to play in 4K provides its own set of benefits. Not only does the game appear better, but the vivid pictures also give you a better perspective of the distant countryside – and anyone who could be hidden there.

Warzone’s DLSS support is even more astounding because it provides a considerable frame rate gain without sacrificing visual quality.

For the most part, Warzone is a beautiful game, thus it would be a shame not to be able to see Verdansk in all its beauty.

Combine the higher frame rates with the stunning 4K resolution. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
