Next James Bond: The up-and-comers who have a realistic chance of succeeding Daniel Craig as 007

Next James Bond: The up-and-comers who have a real shot at succeeding Daniel Craig as Bond.

After Daniel Craig’s performance in No Time To Die, NEXT JAMES BOND auditions will be held in a secret location this year.

The bookies’ favorites are Tom Hardy and Henry Cavill, but franchise experts believe the next 007 will be a rising star on the verge of becoming a global household name.

These are the actors who are most likely to receive a call from Barbara Broccoli.

Daniel Craig was not as well-known as audiences may recall when he was cast as James Bond in 2005.

He may be an A-lister and superstar now, but in his mid-thirties, he was simply known as “That guy from Layer Cake.”

At the time, the bookies and the press focused a lot of attention on established stars like Clive Owen, when everyone should have been looking at the up-and-coming actors breaking into the Hollywood scene.

“There is always the ‘bookies favourite,’ and it tends to be whichever good-looking actor is launching a new television show at the weekend with a clever PR team generating such rumors,” Bond expert Mark O’Connell, author of Catching Bullets: Memoirs of a Bond Fan, told the BBC.

All of the recent rumors in the last few years have been about a Sunday night TV drama.

Sunday night totty has never been James Bond.”

That was certainly the case for James Norton when he wore black tie in a casino in the opening scene of McMafia a few years ago.

He’s been near the top of the betting odds since then, alongside Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, and Idris Elba.

Similarly, Regé-Jean Page rose to fame as the star of Netflix’s Bridgerton in December 2020, prompting a flurry of bets on him to take up the Licence to Kill next.

To find out who is in with a real chance of succeeding Craig’s era, this website enlisted the help of another Bond author and fan.

“The next Bond will be on the younger side and who can play the super spy in three to five films,” said Mark Edlitz, author of The Many Lives of James Bond, who has interviewed key members of the franchise over the years.

The next Bond, I believe, should be someone who.
