Netflix Has Ordered a Spinoff Series of the Hit Film.
To All the Boys I’ve Ever Admired The Coveys haven’t been seen in a long time, and fans haven’t seen the last of them! In October, Netflix announced that a spinoff TV series based on the successful film XO, Kitty would be released, following Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart), Lara Jean Covey’s younger sister (Lana Condor). Jenny Han, the author of the book series on which the film is based, and Sasha Rothchild collaborated on XO, Kitty.
On Twitter, Netflix released a teaser for XO, Kitty. In a homage to Lara Jean’s love letters in To All the Boys, Kitty explained via voiceover that fans should reconsider their assumptions that “there would be no more letters.” “However, there is one Covey sister — some could call her the favorite — whose love story is just getting started,” she continued. “Stay tuned!” Kitty said as she finished her statement. In XO, Kitty, Anna Cathcart returns in a new YA book based on the To All the Boys… brand.

According to The Wrap, XO, Kitty will include ten half-hour episodes. “Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey thinks she knows everything there is to know about love,” according to the show’s official description. When she moves halfway around the world to be with her long-distance boyfriend, she’ll quickly learn that relationships are a lot more complicated when your heart is on the line.” According to Deadline in March, there was a potential that the Covey sisters’ narrative will be continued in a Kitty-focused spinoff. Condor, who starred in To All the Boys, claimed in April that she would “absolutely support” the movie, telling Entertainment Tonight, “I think it would totally make sense.” I believe Kitty is “really a scene stealer.” Condor said, “At that moment, I had not been approached about the idea.” She did, however, mention that an XO, Kitty series would be a fantastic idea, as she believes fans would enjoy it. “I remember when we were doing the press junket for the third film, everyone was asking [Anna], ‘Is this something you would be interested in?'” the actor explained. If it comes to that, I would wholeheartedly support it. Summary of Entertainment News from Brinkwire.
