Members of ABBA include: What are the current ages of the members of ABBA?
Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and Agnetha Faltskog, members of the ABBA band, have just announced a stunning comeback to the music industry with a brand new album and significant gigs – but how old are they now?
Fans of ABBA have been anticipating this day for a long time. Benny and Bjorn made a live announcement in London, which was streamed around the world. They’ve revealed that a new album will be released in November, as well as the opening of a big new production, ABBA Voyage, in London next May. Both appeared to be in excellent health, making it difficult to imagine the band disbanded 28 years ago.
Björn Ulvaeus, the band’s oldest member, is currently 76 years old, while his former wife is the group’s youngest member. Agnetha Fältskog celebrated her 71st birthday in April. The couple married in 1971 but divorced in 1977.
Benny Andersson is 74 years old, while Anni-Frid Lyngstad, his ex-wife, is 75. From 1969 through 1981, they were married.
Although many well-known bands, such as Queen and The Rolling Stones, continue to perform live well into their sixties and seventies, the members of ABBA unanimously agreed that they did not want to perform live when they reassembled to record the new album. They have, however, discovered the ideal answer.
The four band members and an 850-strong team from Industrial Light & Magic used motion capture and performance techniques to construct digital versions of ABBA for the new show.
The company, which was created by George Lucas, is known for providing special effects for a number of Star Wars and Marvel films. This is the firm’s first excursion into the music industry.
“We did motion capture in a studio that looks like NASA,” Bjorn explained. We were in leotards with dots on our bodies for five weeks and suddenly the four of us were on stage performing these songs…
“We may have appeared foolish, but we have completely absorbed ourselves into these avatars.”
“The only major issue was that we had to shave our beards,” Benny explained. 40 years later!”
The event will primarily consist of the band’s “biggest hits, plus a couple songs that were not hits but that we adore,” according to Bjorn.
‘I Still Have Faith In You’ and ‘Don’t Shut Me Down,’ two new songs published today, will. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
