Meena Jutla’s exit from Emmerdale has been confirmed, with the actress speaking out about her departure from the ITV soap.
It has been confirmed that EMMERDALE villain Meena Jutla will be leaving the ITV soap, and the actress who plays the killer has spoken out about how she feels about leaving her character behind.
Meena (Paige Sandhu) has been at the center of some of Emmerdale’s biggest storylines in the last 18 months, and she is currently responsible for the deaths of three village residents.
She has been holding her sister Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) hostage in recent episodes of the ITV soap, and she will have Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) by the end of next week.
The menacing serial killer, however, will not be around for much longer, as Paige, the actress who plays her, has stated that she will “miss everything” about her alter-ego.
Residents of the village are beginning to see how insane Meena is after keeping her murderous ways hidden for a few months.
Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) is on the verge of discovering her killer secret, and he’s starting to wonder if she’s lying about Manpreet leaving the Dales.
When Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson), the father of one of the villain’s victims, discovers she was never pregnant with Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) child, he suspects his neighbor is hiding something.
It is unknown when the serial killer will be apprehended or when she will leave the show, but Paige has stated that her character’s days are numbered.
“I will miss everything because I love her,” the soap star said.
I think she’s hilarious; she has so much charisma; she’s so strange; she’s just odd.”
In an interview with Inside Soap Magazine, the actress continued, “She’s so weird and it’s so much fun to play such a weird character.”
“Going to those dark places is really fulfilling,” Paige continued, “but there’s also that slightly comedic edge, which is always fun.”
“I’m a big fan of her flamboyance.
“I think everything about her I’ll miss,” she said, implying that her villainous alter ego will be departing soon.
The kidnapping of Manpreet, according to the publication, is the “beginning of the end” for Meena.
The killer was expected to be revealed before Christmas, but the soap’s executives are leaving.
